The settings are intriguing, have a homey charm to them and prepare you for a nice, kinky, cozy read. Then a hint of werewolves punctures the balloon somewhat and the whole thing flops crashing down with a quick wrap up worthy of a lousy preteen wet-dream. One gets a feeling that the author got disturbed or utterly bored in the process and decided to just quit the damn thing asap.Product details

Vampire Claimed edition by Riley Stone Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Enjoyed reading this story. Kept me entertained until the very end. Would recommend for everyone to read this book. Very enjoyable.
Coukld have been longer, with more information on why the kid is catnip to both vampires & werewolves
It's a one star from me because what shod have been a beginning was an end.
-plot was one dimensional
-character traits explained away by "magnetic attraction" and "supernatural attributes"
All around an inconclusive book in almost every area.
Vampire Claimed is a typical story about a young human, Evan, that is singled out by the paranormal community. The wolves want him. A vampire wants him. So Evan works in a grocery store as a bagger and has issues with one customer. That incident shows just how distracted he is by a co-worker named James. You know, eyeing the co-worker and fantasies of your co-worker.
There were a few sentences that didn't make sense. Not enough proof reading and editing.
SPOILERS
The wolves were briefly introduced in this story and not enough details as to why they're interested in Evan. Just that he smells good. Yet wolves only mate with wolves and Evan is human. Evan's interest in James is returned and due to page length it's all based on strong attraction. I felt James was an older vampire but he looked as old as Evan. Otherwise Evan's grandmother would have had a fit as the two men went upstairs together if one was an older looking man.
There were a few things missing with a few other parts of the story. A car accident and bleeding cuts. Still bleeding cuts. But instead of stopping and bandaging them it's about sex and drinking more blood. James didn't act concerned about the bleeding and nothing was said about vampire saliva clotting the cuts or anything. No, Evan was just fine, able to get home, hold a conversation, and run upstairs. Oh yes and more sex. All this and he's human!
But the kicker is that last part. Where Evan said he now has a boyfriend. Well, yeah he does. But James is a vampire and as the title says, it's a claiming. That is a lot more than boyfriend status. But James didn't explain anything about that to Evan yet and then the book ends.
Overall There wasn't enough conclusion for me. This story is about the meet and greet, attraction, and acting on that attraction. It progressed to a hook up and then the story is over. - Dan's Wife
This short story actually started out pretty well and had the potential to be so much more. Evan is a sweet innocent young virgin and keeps having erotic dreams of a man and him in the woods. James is a vampire and lusts after Evan. Wolves are introduces as we as well as a witch. The stories ends far to quickly and leaves the reader feeling dissatisfied. There needs to be some editing and has grammatical errors. However, the story does have an HFN ending and the story is complete with a beginning, middle and end. It just could have so much more.
Again, I have apparently been a victim of bait & switch, where people are rating a book 5 stars but when I get around to it, I end up with the 1 or 2 star version. (extreme sarcasm)
Maybe I didn’t read the description page closely enough, but I went into this thinking that it was going to be an actual short story. What it is, is another poorly written short erotica with bad editing, typos, choppy writing, syntax errors, and clumsy attempts at using purple prose where it clearly doesn’t fit. On top of all that, this writer has either never read books about vampires and shifters, or just not any good ones. The werewolves were after Evan just because he smelled good & innocent? They wanted to claim him, yet they only mate with other weres? Then James was a secret vamp who worked as a stock boy in a grocery store? And the title says "claimed" but James bit him in the lip & thigh, not the neck. Who rips off all of someone's clothes in the middle of the street? And how did Evan have on clothes again when he got home? And why was his granny so nonchalant about Evan bringing a grown man home after 1 AM? And what 82 year old woman is baking cookies after 1 AM? And where did all of these wolves and James - the town's one & only vampire - come from? This was a ridiculous waste of time.
The settings are intriguing, have a homey charm to them and prepare you for a nice, kinky, cozy read. Then a hint of werewolves punctures the balloon somewhat and the whole thing flops crashing down with a quick wrap up worthy of a lousy preteen wet-dream. One gets a feeling that the author got disturbed or utterly bored in the process and decided to just quit the damn thing asap.
